Research:
ð Check if you really want to be a student.
Is your education a priority right now?
ð Check if the school's reputation meet your requirements.
ð Consider your choices of where to live.
At home, in a nearby apartment, in dormitories on campus, in campus apartments
ð Check if financial aid is available.
Will the school let you pay your tuition and fees with the financial aid?
ð Check if scholarships are available at the school.
ð Find out what is the time period for getting a degree (or certificate)
ð Consider how much your college experience will cost.
ð Start researching individual schools and see if they meet your requirements.
ð Narrow your list down to five, visit the campuses and talk to students.

Admission:
ð Apply for admission and financial aid
ð Make arrangements for housing, food service, meal plans, etc., if necessary.
ð Look through the schedule

ð Analyze how you're spending your time.
Is there anything you'll have to give up in order to complete your course work?
ð Make a schedule and try to stick to it.
Avoid procrastinating. Maintain self-discipline. Don't "put it off" or wait until the last minute to do your home work.
ð Think of a place where you can study so that you're not disturbed or interrupted frequently.
If there is no such a place wait until your colleagues, friends, and family go off and have fun.
ð Learn about the many activities available on campus by visiting Clubs and Organizations and join the ones you like.
ð Communicate effectively with teachers, ask as many questions as you have.
ð Try to apply everything you find out and learn,
