The pair then posed backstage together, with Lindsay even meeting the designer's two daughters.
The magnificent gold mirrored runway saw models strutting clothing with mainly floral and animated shapes.
Lindsay tweeted her admiration for the designer and revealed her mode of transport to the show.
'Beautiful work Cynthia,' she said.
'I can't wait to take you to dinner! Glad I took the cab to the show!!! Who needs a car service anyway!'
Also at the show was former Melrose Place actree Kelly Rutherford, who now plays Lily van der Woodsen, Blake Lively's character's mother on Gossip Girl.

Of Rowley, she said: 'I think she is so much fun, and designs everything from diapers to highfashion,'She is colorful.
