Where's your helmet and trainers Kelly? Miss Brook promotes cycling in five-inch heels... while Thom Evans decides to walk

Kelly Brook might be London’s most glamorous cyclist and the perfect model to promote Skyride, but her outfit wasn’t exactly appropriate today.

Instead of wearing a helmet and trainers, Kelly opted for five-inch heels and a blow-wave hairdo.

But it was all for a good cause, as she took part in the free cycling event organised by Tfl, Sky and British Cycling.

The event offered people of all ages and abilities the chance to rediscover the fun that can be had on two wheels.

It was also a day of entertainment on traffic-free, city centre streets in London.

More than 85,000 cyclists were expected to take part in the annual Sky Ride – a 7.2 mile route around London.

The route sees the bike-lovers ride around Westminster Bridge, Big Ben, Whitehall, The Mall, Trafalgar Square and Embankment among other sites.

And if there’s one person perfect to promote biking to Londoners, it has to be Miss Brook.

But Kelly was also joined by Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy, who gave the event a bit of an athletic influence.

Kelly told the Evening Standard on Friday: ‘Cycling is a fun way to spend time with friends and keep in shape.

While Mayor Boris Johnson said: ‘London’s fantastic Sky Ride helps people of all ages enjoy the capital’s most iconic sights on two wheels.’

Model and actress Kelly, 31, was accompanied by her rugby union player boyfriend Thom Evans.

Thom, 26, walked beside his girlfriend in jeans and trainers though, instead of jumping on his own bike.
