LEDs Mature Into Solid-State Lighting Leader


Out of all the electricity generated in North America, lighting uses an estimated 20% (electric motors consume approximately 60%), unfortunately 99% of the general lighting uses outdated and inefficient lighting technology. LEDs are completely safe and non-toxic and made it easily recyclable components. As governments and companies seek to promote energy efficiency, demand for SSL lighting systems is rapidly increasing in every market.

Use a fixture that allows as much ventilation as possible.if using a dimmer switch be sure to use specified dimmable products
Remove any glass or tinted lenses (use colored LEDs or RGB LED's instead of tinted lenses or gels), these are often UV filters which are not required on LED light sources.If overall desired brightness is not achieved, consider additional fixtures or drop down fixtures that physically get the light closer to the subject.
Check periodically
Occasionally visually inspect bulbs, gently removing any dust. Dust can block airflow which potentially could lead to premature lamp failure.Proper maintenance is key to achieving maximum savings
